【摘要】:Thistestmethodissuitableforuseonwallstodeterminetheabilityofmasonrywalldrainagesystemstocollectwaterpenetratingtheexteriorwytheandtodirectthiswaterbacktotheexteriorsurfaceoftheexteriorwythe.Removalofaportionoftheinteriorwallfinishesisdesirabletoobserveleakageintobackupwalls.Evenwithremovalofinteriorfinishes,inmanycasesitisnotpracticaltoobservesurfacesbehindspandrelbeams,columns,orotherobstructions.Potentialareaswhereleakagemayoccurbutthatarenotvisibleduringthetestshallbeconsideredwheninterpretingtheresultsofthetestandshallberecordedinthereport.Thistestmethodissuitableforuseonmock-upwallstodeterminetheperformanceofmasonrywalldrainagesystems.Thistestmethodissuitableforevaluatingtheeffectivenessofflashingrepairs.1.1Thistestmethoddescribesastandardprocedurefordeterminingtheabilityofmasonrywalldrainagesystemstocollectwaterthatpenetratestheexteriormasonrywytheduringrainstormsandtodirectthiswaterbacktotheexteriorsurfaceofthewall.1.2Thistestmethodisapplicabletowallsystemsthatcontainanexteriormasonrywythewithadrainagezoneontheinteriorfaceoftheexteriorwythe.Itisnotapplicabletosingle-wythedrainagewalls.1.3Thistestmethodisnotapplicabletomasonrybarrierwallsorothermasonrywallsthataredesignedwithoutdrainagezonesbehindtheexteriorwythe.1.4Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
